The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Not too big of a deal, just a vendor friendly event, but still a fun place to show up in costume. I'm going to try and talk Mike into it! :D

Check it out: http://www.popculturefair.com/index.htm

There is this show as well... http://www.con-version.org/index.html... I have never been to it, but it might be okay!?!

Glorious show. Only one other person in costume, a very scrawny Spiderman. My fireteam partner Chad, his wife Susan and I had a great time. Got the big invite back in October. Not too many juicy colonist daughters we rescued from their virginity but we found few. Enjoy Marines!

Great pics Mike! I know you had fun with the ladies!

Well... We made it to the front cover of a free local favor that was covering the show. That was pretty sweet! :D
Sadly there was only one other person dressed up, like Mike pointed out, a very skinny Spidey, but it was all good! Took a lot of photos with many people who loved the costumes (definitely Mike's).

Enjoy the pics marines!

I know, I know... Sure didn't look like a damn phaser to me either! That's Edmonton for ya... As I'm typing this, looking out my window, it looks like the LV426, but with snow.

Goes back to typing, look of utter disgust on his face... sighs deeply

Well if you screw your eyes up real real tight in a really really dark room they might look a little teeny tiny bit like a Phaser Rifle! Then again they were probably following the good old journalistic maxim "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!" or for that matter a good Punning Headline!

I can tell you stories of 2 people who after giving interviews to the press were amazed to learn that they were "planning to write a book" and "had served as an officer in the Army" when neither had imparted such information to their interviewer!

Still looks like you guys had a blast although I'm not sure who's "feeling the weight" in Mikes pic!

Nice work!

I was in an article in a local rag recently who captioned a picture of the Alien and Predator as "Doctor Who Villains" ... :?

I salvaged 2 pics off the camera from the Pop Culture show. I did my best to correct the photos (sorry Mike :| ). At least we got the web head in the shot!
