The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

How's it goin' eh?

I just finished my flak jacket and since I am a die-hard Canuck, I want to display it through some custom made patches. So far, I have a draft of the first one I made:

As for the screaming eagle patch, I was toying with the idea of a screaming Canada goose or loon

What do you think?

What I think is that I've already made patches for Canadian Colonial Marine fandom... I
am trying to wrap my head around how you've never seen any of these... :?:

According to the Aliens timeline, all of the North American continent has been amalgamated into a super state called the United Americas. The UA flag was designed by Ron Cobb, so there is reference for all this...

However, if you're looking into making your own custom patches, I can definitely recommend a patch maker to you.

Thanks for replying to this thread.
Those patches are AWESOME! Love the screaming beaver patch!
I haven't seen your designs until now. I tried doing a search before I started mine, but now that I have seen yours, the wind is out of my sail! :|
Do you have any of these bad boys for sale?

I'll have to scratch around to see if there's one last set... I made 25 of each patch a few years ago and all Canadian Marines save for two wear them. They're hardcore purists, what can I say..? :delta:

I never made the aerospace patch however and sure would like to... if there were a market for them.

I'll get back to you.

Nice idea. If you need the screaming beaver, I have one here at home you can have until you find me a replacement. Give me a ring cause I know you've got my number, eh.

I'm one of them. Let's see how long before the other Marine speaks up.

Yup, it's true, I never seen those patches before. My entire focus over the past couple of years has been the MG42 and the stabilizer arm, so I haven't bothered looking up Canadian patches. My brain is like a prey animal... Every 3 min's, the show starts again! :|
I just started on my flak jacket a couple of months back, but I finally finished the foam filling installation the other day and now I am starting on the patches. So far I have this one:
