Hello everyone! I'm Bazookafied (Zook for short) and I'm thrilled to be here. My first exposure I can remember to Aliens was when I caught a few scenes of it on TV. My dad was watching it and I was 6 or 7. I caught it near the beginning and saw the Marines awaken from Cryosleep up until their initial sweep of the facility on LV 426. I was thrilled enough with the Marines that I ran to the shed to get my toy gun, tape a cardboard tube to the bottom of the barrel and cut out a shroud from construction paper and started playing in my backyard. To my dismay, I met up with friends who had seen the whole thing and told me "Why are you a Marine? They all got killed in that movie!" But the seeds of obsession had already been sewn.

Later on I got into Laser Tag and after seeing a custom built Pulse Rifle from another guy, I knew what I had to do. After finding a Thompson M1A1 Airsoft rifle and getting a steal of a deal on a Pulse Rifle Conversion Kit by G&P, I built my own M41A able to be used with Airsoft and Laser Tag. Locally, I run a Laser Tag group that see's weekly attendance between 25 and 35 players. My Pulse Rifle is my primary weapon and I couldn't be more proud to use it along with my USCM patches on my MOLLE Rig. My research involving building and upgrading the Pulse Rifle has led me to ColonialMarines.net, Aliens Legacy, and personal websites to others working on similar projects where I find inspiration to improve what I'm already doing.

I'm happy to be a part of this community and hope that I can learn more from here as well as share what I'm doing here in the Heartland.

Been lurking for years and finally got my gear done. Armor by the talented Spat and pulse from matso corp (got the drunken pleasure of meeting him at archon last year). Grabbed a vp-70 from a local airsoft store last year. All thats needed is a sholder lamp.

My name is Pete, some of you may know and remember me from a couple of years ago. I have been consentrating on my career for the past 2/3 years and as a result the Aliens Legacy has taken a bit of a back seat. Anyway I have recently been thinking a lot about coming back on board to see whats been going on. I inspired by the recent HC pulse rifle and almost bought one. Anyway I am now working in the creature fx and Special make up fx industry and loving it to bits.

Like most people I've been a lurker of this forum for a while now. I have no model/scratch building experience what so ever but I'm hoping to chance all that slowly but surely. I've always been envious and jealous of the skills a lot of you have have! As part of the learning curve I want to try and build an Aliens Motion Tracker after I slowly locate and collect the parts! The after that I want to construct my holy grail a pulse rifle. Been wanting one of these since I was 9 years old but as always money issues keep killing that dream of owning one.

I'm 28 and first watched Aliens when I was 9 and have been an Alien trilogy fan ever since.

Hello all. Long time aliens nut. I have the Colonial Marine Armor and BDUs which ive been working and upgrading since about 2000. I also have or am working on the Alien Narcissus shuttle space suit if I can ever afford the rest. Got the helmet and working on getting the undersuit. I am an avid fan of Alien, Aliens and yes Alien 3 I wont mention the other one lol. Not a big fan of the AVP films although the predators kick butt..

Long time costumer been to several events probably have met some of you, I would of been dressed as Batman TDK, Colonial Marine, or OCP Rehab officer from Robocop.

And here I've gone straight to asking armor questions without even introducing myself. My name's Palmer, I like guns. I'm an ameture film maker. My fascination with Aliens comes from the story, not just the aesthetic look of the film (which is excellent as well.) I feel like the AVP movies were an atrocity and that although Predator was an excellent beefy action film, it doesn't belong on the same screen as the Alien. The styles just don't match. I also freaking hate how people pat Halo on the back, when all it did was steal the look of Aliens. That's my two cents, and boy: You can take that all the way to the BANK.

Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself real quick, I'm a friend of Spectre, GirlSpectre, and Outcry27 and they recommended I join since I'm going to Dragoncon with them and I was hoping I could join in on some of the USCM festivites. Sadly because of money and time I wont have any garb or guns or such for the Con, but I'm hoping I can assemble some of that stuff in the near future.

I've been watching/reading about the Aliens universe since I was knee high to a Xenomorph and I've always had a fascination with anything to do with future militarism. Aliens, Starcraft, Warhammer 40k, Starship Troopers, pretty much anything that involved grizzled badasses with big guns keeping peace and order in the far reaches of the galaxy against slimey creatures. I'm also an actor and a writer, and Aliens has always been a big inspiration for the things that I work on.

Anyway, hope to see some of you at Dragoncon.

Hey all. Names Travis and im 24. Spent five years in the United States Marine Corps. Ive loved the movie aliens since i was a kid growing up. Always wished i had toys that was like the marines armor or weapons i was obsessed with the pulse rifle. This movie is what made me want to be a marine for real.. of course when i joined i knew there wasnt space travel awsome weapons and bugs to stomp but that was beside the point lol. Also if anyone could tell me if anyone can fix the pulse rifle counter, how do i attach the mag and mag butt plate, and if anyone knows where i can get a smartgunners headset

Outcry27 on the forums is good with that kinda stuff. he's currently working on a pulse rifle. he also has a smartgunners headset. he'll know how to get you started on that

My name is Sean and I currently reside in Dahlonega, GA where I go to school. For any wondering, and there could very well be none, gt3stuntman is just an amalgamation of my two favorite games at the time [2001] when I joined my first forum; those games being Gran Turismo 3 and Stuntman. I've been a longtime fan of Aliens. When I was young [, my dad played basically the same Laserdiscs over and over. The rotation included [but was not limited to] Aliens, Alien 3, Predator, and basically every Arnie action flick from around that time. I'm not quite sure why we didn't have Alien. In fact, I didn't see it until it was on TV some years later. But Aliens was definitely the one that stood out from the pack. The Colonial Marines really resonated with me as a youngin since I was always playing soldier anyway. They were [and still are] just so bad ass to me. Sure most of them were cooked by the end of it all, but yeah, still awesome. And the xenomorphs just scared the shit out of me. I was deathly afraid of our basement with the lights out and wouldn't go in there by myself. The scene of the xeno coming out of the hole in the ceiling in Alien 3 didn't help this either.

Anyway, a couple years ago I thought "Why not be a Colonial Marine for Halloween?" So I researched it and happened upon Spat's armor and all the other stuff I would need to do it. I think I stumbled across this place too, but didn't join. For whatever reason, it didn't pan out. I guess I couldn't rationalize making that kind of purchase for just one occasion. Who knows. Go back to now, and after learning about all these cons around me, and Halloween still being every year as far as I know, I've put my years long interest into action. I've got my armor from Spat on order, contacted Nick to see if he can give my gear a nice, new coat of paint when it comes in, ordered some BDUs from men-at-arms, enlisted Matsuo's shoulder lamp making skills, and attained various other accessories [Gerber MK II w/ sheath, screen accurate patches, Panamanian sole boots, and Pentax 110]. I've also gathered all but two parts necessary for making my own motion tracker, and now I'm looking into some parts for a smart gun [which maybe one of my two brothers could be kitted out with]. At any rate, just thought I'd properly introduce myself. Looking forward to talking with all you fine folks, and hopefully I'll see some of ya at Dragon*Con next year!

Earlier this year I posted photos of myself that I'll be using to renew my passport on my Livejournal, and a costume friend said I have an eerie resemblence to Ripley, so I started putting together a Ripley costume.

I chose Ripley from Alien Resurrection (Ach!) because I like her leather outfit, she has my hair length, and hey! She's Alien! So I get to have black nails!

I will be bringing her to D*C this year, and hope I can meet up with you all at some point!
