The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I agree with Kevin on this one and if I may add, the trick about PT is to do it in a regular and stable fashion, that way your body not only gets used to it but expects it. Therefor getting the best results out of your training. In other words 15 minutes a day is better than 3 hours every two days. And if you miss a day, don't go thinking that doing 30 minutes the next day will make up for it, it will only destabilize your system, and as Kevin mentions, might even hurt your muscle fibres by overdoing it.

So for anyone who isn't in good shape the keyword here is progressive growth. start off slow and light, and when things get too easy, you start adding more.

Thanks guys,
You confirmed what I already believed.
Now if I could only kick this chocolate habit of mine !
I make sure that we don't have much in the house, and what is here is hidden so I don't find it.
Cause if I do..its gone !

This is just an idea I had, but it would be nice to go hiking or something as a group. Mont-Tremblant or wherever...

I have issues with Tremblant. I'd love to solve them by going hiking with you guys. When I trained as a kid supervisor for summer camp, we went to the Parker Shack (or something like that) I know there are other shacks most likely smaller.

This could also prove to be an interesting Ruckmarch ^-^

I remember going up one of the 3 diamonds ski hills (in summer).

It was interesting.

Tonight I did 15x10x15x15 (the second set was only 3 minutes after the first one) now that I can breath again and that I'm no longer coughing like a volcano, I'm happy to be back on track.

might even do some push-ups tomorrow.

I did do 5 pull-ups since I'm staying over at my parents place for the week.

I also corrected my body angle for the push-ups, but I'm happy to report that I'm able to do 5 marines push-ups Wolf ^-^

Next time it's nice outside I'm kicking myself in the buttox and I'm going for a run/jog.

Well, I saw a massage therapist last Thursday for my intense back pains, slowly getting better. Looking forward to start working out again.

Back to work! Back's been feeling better... no more numbness in my left hand... so I curled and pushed last night and jogged this morning. Yes, jogged. I'm not winning the biathlon yet, but I ran 2.77 km for a total of 16 mins. The air was a little cold, so this aggravated my (light touch of) asthma. With a little more warmth, I may have gone a little longer.

I went out with a canine unit, callsign "Dumbo" who didn't even break a sweat.

Soon ... me and Cpl Parent are gonna start doing Olympic pool time and badminton ... since he don't like to train on push-up and set-up ... i will still do push-up and set-up + Sports ...
it's alot for me, but i need to get in shape ... OBJECTIVE: 6 pack, and get back for pants size 34 ( 34 size i was wearing when i was playing football )

Well ... that's my little report for now !!!

Cheers

Ok ... i cheated ... i did smoke again but there was improvements in training ...

Like steady 10x10x10 push-up every morning
25 set-up every morning (that hurt)
75 bicep curls with 20 pounds weights every morning (but not always 75 ... hehe)
50 tricep curls with the same 20 pounds (a lot harder)
Not ready to jog ... yet ... using the eliptic instead ... but it's at my folks place
so i don't use it often.

Stress time at my job ... making me smoke like a old train (doesnt help ... I know)

Well ... that's about it for now

Cheers Peeps

Thanks for the update Phil... sorry to hear you couldn't stay off the smokes. It's always harder to quit than to start!

As for me... I've added 5 lbs to my curls, so 35 lbs 3x18 bicep curls, 3x32 wrist curls and 3x20 mod pushups. I haven't started sit ups yet, but I definitely should start.

tihihihi girls are checking me out apparently ^-^

so I'm doing the 15x15x15 push ups.

Yesterday I walked from union to bloor, then from the con to the Canadian Superstore it was cool.

Also swam and this morning I got up at 0630 hours (yeah that's right) and I ran 1.5 clic. I think I'm gonna have to ease into it and I'm gonna need special inserts for my boots (darn flat feet)

apart from that everything is peachy.

I've had marine fever for many many years buddy.
I believe in Semper Fidelis and leave no man behind.

I checked it out on google maps Sharp and apparently I walked a very good 3 click ruckmarch.

I'm very proud of myself right now.

I bought myself another plate for my weights last night... so now I'm curling 40 lbs. I did 20-19-17 per arm. I'm hoping to get to 50 lbs by the beginning of June.

OK, so I'm up to 24 regular pushups (never thought I'd reach that)... still lifting: 3 sets of 40 lbs 20-18-16 (3rd set is a freakin' killer) Arms have never been this big... ever.

Still haven't motivated myself to continue to run or do any sit-ups. Oh well.
