The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Pte Chris Chulamanis Memorial Ribbon
Awarded to a marine who served at any drop in uniform in 2008.

So... if you qualify for any of the above ribbons, please let me know and I will update your digital ribbon bar.

I qualify for that. MegaCon a few weeks ago. Even wore my Chris memorial armband, including during the TerrorWerks mission. Happy to get Chris some more action. :)

Congratulations to the both of you for being the first recipients of these honours.

A little further update: Veterans with 10 or more combat drops will be awarded stars in lieu of numerals for their duty. 10 drops, bronze star, 15 drops, silver star and 20 drops or more, gold star.

This currently only affects Derek Smith

I qualify for the Chris ribbon too for Megacon.

And what are the requirements for the Minor Colony? To do a sweep or as for others be in costume? I would qualify if it's wearing the uniform for the last Vulkon I attended.

And what is the other service one? Is that for real world military? Or serving in a group for like BSG, SG-1, 501st, etc?

Thanks for the swift update, Dom!

Humble suggestion: Since the board is against a black background, suggest that the small sig ribbons be surrounded by a grey border, (one or two pixels should do it), so that the Chris memorial ribbon reads as such and not just part of the background. :)

Regardless of how much (or how little) I enjoyed it, I suppose I was a squid for a time, so I guess I qualify for that one.

Also, if by "Minor Colony Patrol" you mean a local Halloween pub party, then yeah, I guess I patrolled that one all right. Them Guiness pints bashtards were properly pacified!
But if 'pub' doesn't equate 'con', then nope.

FNG ribbon on its way.

The Minor Colony Patrol is defined as: "Awarded for successful patrol of a colony of 38'000 colonists or less." Essentially this is being at a con in uniform in a small town or city. Go ahead and click on any of the ribbons, you'll find their descrition.

The Multi-Force ribbons is defined as: "For previous service in a military or para-military organization other than Colonial Marines. " ... so we're talking about real military. I define para-military as being: Cadets, JROTC, ROTC, Military College and Constabulary Forces. I'm in SG-25 and 501st... and trust me... my paintball team is more para-military than those groups.

I am aware of this situation, and will work on a solution. I think that they best work-around would be light grey spacers to the left and right.

In that case, I definitely qualify for a Multi-Force ribbon, please.

Gonna have to wait another year to get my MegaCon ribbon, although I'm sure some of the other FL cons would count as Minor Colony Drops, hehe.

*EDIT* Now that I read it... would the fact that I was sick as an effing dog the entire D*Con weekend count for Adverse Service?

Heyup Dom :)

Looks like I'm due for the MCP for the 'American Adventure' drop, MFD for my time in the Air Training Corps and Combined Cadet Force and OMA for securing and manning fan tables at DCon in 2006 and 2007, as well as cons in the UK.

I wonder if I can manage all five before the year is out :\

Pete, your rack is updated, although if you have multiple counts of MCP or OMA, please let me know... remember, this have to be in USCM uniform... I recall you being at the table last year in MI uniform.

I was in MI uniform to take care of the weapons last year, but the year previous the table had been secured and manned in USCM gear. :)

All ribbons qualify for numerals on the exception of the MVM. Knock on wood, if another of us pass away, the FNG ribbon can be numeralized.

FYI I finally took the time to link your ribbon images to your profile on the USCM Charter.
I had done it before, but Dom had to point out that when they update on his site.....they won't on mine - DUH!!!!
So linked from his the same as you've done in your signatures :)

So looking at my previous drops... if the Minor Colony is for the number of attendees at a convention, then I would qualify for 4 (all Vulkons, numbers kept low on purpose). But if it deals with the number of residents in the cities those conventions were held... well then I wouldn't get any.
