Post-nominal letters, also called post-nominal initials, post-nominal titles, or designatory letters, are letters placed after the name of a Colnial Marine to indicate that the individual holds a prestigious decoration. An individual may use several different sets of post-nominal letters as they awarded to them. The order in which these are listed after a name is based on the order of precedence and category of the order. Post-nominal letters are one of the main types of name suffix.

There are currently four different decorations within the Colonial Marines that entitle one to place post-nominal letters suffixed to one's name in this order of precedence:

• Most Valuable Marine (MVM) Image
• Aliens Legacy Gold (ALG) Image
• Valour in Adverse Service (VAS) Image
• Colonial Marine Decoration (CMD) Image

Show your pride in the Colonial Marine Corps and share your accomplishments.

Can you confirm the letters for the Valor in Adverse Service award. Your ribbon thread says the following:

Quote:
Adverse Service Medal:
For service by a member at a colony drop in spite of serious injury or illness. Recipients are entitled to use the post nominal letters "ASM".

Which one is correct?

It's "VAS"; correction is done, thank you. You qualify for these post-nominal letters.
