Aliens EXPOsed
Saturday, April 26, 2014 - 8:00PM
Location: Stampede Corral
The Calgary Expo, in conjunction with Coolwaters Productions LLC, is proud to announce that Sigourney Weaver will be joining fellow Aliens cast-mates for Aliens EXPOsed – a celebration of the iconic 1986 film Aliens. Other cast members appearing at the event include Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, Carrie Henn, Jenette Goldstein, and Mark Roltson.

Aliens EXPOsed will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Stampede Corral. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and the event will begin at 8:00 p.m. The event will be hosted by Star Trek: Voyager’s Garrett Wang and the Calgary Expo’s own Emily Expo.

Tickets for Aliens EXPOsed will go on sale via Ticketmaster beginning March 15, at 10:00 a.m. MST.

Tickets for the event are sold separately from tickets to Calgary Expo, as the event is not included for Calgary Expo ticket-holders.

In all my years I have never heard of Sigourney doing a convention. This may be one of the very few (if not the only) chances to get her the ALG award! :shock:

Saw this on Lances Page and they truly make a point of thanking the people behind her for attending.
Who knows greasing the tracks for future events?

Whichever AL member(s) can make it should team up for a group presentation.
Usually its the ALG & Cert and then someone taking video footage & another photos.
If the presenter of the ALG is upto it a little speech.

Plus this could also double up for getting Bill too (as that hasnt happened yet?).

As co-creator of the ALG I think that way anyway is probably the best.

Well, my wife caved in after all of my whining, and we are forgoing our Germany trip for this once in a lifetime chance to meet our favorite peeps!
So, if we can get a list of people who are going to the show.... I'm in with helping out with the ALG for Sigourney!

We are in the process of booking our hotel from the 25th to the 28th! Buying passes after work!

Yup, what Teckno says, you explain who we are and that many involved in the Alien Legacy of films have been presented with it, then the presenting of the wings and certificate, along with photos.

Make sure you get a decent one of them holding the award, rather than only group shots, like when I presented it to Al Matthews. :oops:

Although, in my defence, Al wanted the group shots and I just did what my Sarge told me. :wink:

Someone needs to contact Harry Harris and ask for him to quickly dispatch the Wings and Certificate.

Again I think this would be for Weaver & Paxton to be Awarded. So Huge Kudos to the lucky sods being present there when this takes place.

WE'RE ON THE READY LINE!!!

I can't wait til Saturday for the tickets!

I'd be willing to do pictures or video (or both since my camera can do both simultaneously) provided I have a clear view of the action. I have a really nice camera with wifi that connects to my phone so I can upload photos and video pretty much instantly

Sigourney a Weaver is also having a panel on Sunday the 27th at the Stampede Corral, only people who have a Calgary Expo Weekend or Sunday pass can get in. We're buying Sunday passes now, just need our tickets for the ALIENS show and book a hotel.

Anyone in /around Calgsry know of a good hotel close to the venue? Preferably walking distance?

Just got home from our local brick & morter shop and picked up our weekend passes!!! We are definitely a go!
Hopefully we can gather up enough marines to make a badass presentation!
