The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Q: How many hours do you need to log at fan table to earn ribbon?

Doesn't have to be continuous, can be cumulative for one single event.

You can't earn this one without the Combat Action Ribbon, so I've added both.

Hey Dom,

I know you've done the update to my ribbons (I see the change on your photo hosting site), however it hasn't changed on my end for a couple of days now. :?

I've cleared my temp folder, cookies, temp internet files, everything I can think of. :(

Maybe Gareth can chime in?

I find that odd also... Normally after 24H, the change takes effect. I'll see if I can get answers.

**edit** If this doesn't solve in a week, I will need to re-upload and re-assign image numbers to everyone.

That sucks Bro! Hopefully you won't have to, but if you do, no hurry with mine- take as long as you are comfortable with.

Hi Dom,
It was awesome to finally meet you!

May I apply for the following at your convenience?

2x Glasgow (November 2010 + August 2011)
1x Hypersleep deployment (Crossed continental line, so I believe that adds a star or some such)
1x Atlanta
1x LV-426 Incident Silver Memorial Decoration
1x Colonial Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal
1x Colonial Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon
2x Canis et Equus VII Ceremonial Guard (Atlanta)

I update my Manualy by going to the link with the drop ribbons and copy the URL address and adding it to my signature.

Bingo it was done.

It was a bit different from the last one but it easy enough to do.

The ribbons are be found on the first page of this post. "Decorations can be seen here. Recipients can be seen here."

Click on the ribbons for you and get then "small" size.

Right hand click on the Ribbon block and select "Copy Link Location"

Go to your Control panel at the top of the AL board.

Go to "Profile" on the left hand tab and than "Edit signature"

At the bottom of the signature it should look like this "http://i.pbase.com/t4/79/456379/4/103092793.Tdvcpyao.jpg"

Now add the "IMG" at the being and end by using the IMG tab on top.

It should now look like this Image

Hit ok and the ribbons will be there.

I hope this helps.

Cheer's Steve

1x Hypersleep deployment (Continental!)
1x Atlanta colony
I think I already applied for this, so apologies if it's a double: 1x LV-426 Incident Silver Memorial Decoration
1x Canis et Equus VII Ceremonial Guard

Jake Tucker is my full name, you needed that last time.

Not so easy, mate. All we see is a red X. You see your image because it's in your cache.

PBase wrote:
To get the direct linking URL for an image, view the image and add .jpg or size.jpg to the end of the URL.

This works just like linking to an image page but append .jpg to the end of the URL.
example: http://www.pbase.com/image/image number.jpg
example: http://www.pbase.com/image/image number/size.jpg

Note: to direct link to a .gif, use the .jpg extension also. It will still send the gif file.

You can also easily get the direct linking URL by viewing the edit image page and looking in the top right corner of the page, where the URL for linking to the medium size of the image is given.

http://www.pbase.com/help/direct_linking&id=465

If you right-click on my ribbons, you'll see: http://www.pbase.com/image/85354403/small.jpg You'll see also that my Atlanta ribbon shows four drops. If you go to http://www.pbase.com/image/85354403/original.jpg , however, you'll see my update including the 5 Atlanta drops. The large.jpg and medium.jpg formats are working fine; what doesn't seem to be changing is the small.jpg format... exactly what we need for the forum.

So Sandy, you should have http://www.pbase.com/image/103092793/small.jpg for your sig... and let's hope this issue resolves itself.

Hypersleep is awarded based on the farthest you've travelled to a drop. You've crossed a continent, so you qualify for the 3-gold star HSD ribbon, and this is the best you can get. Regardless of how many times you've been overseas, and even if you represent the UKCM in Antartica, you only get this award once.

I get a lot of confusion over this one, some of the UKCM ask for this award every year even if they have it already. There are no multiples on this award, only, long (100 miles+), very long (international border) and exceptionally long (inter-continental travel).

You know, when I saw that episode of Dr Who with the 'England ship', I wondered what the 'France' ship would be like...

Then I realised it would still be on the surface of the planet, unable to take off because of the crew striking or the passengers demonstrating to obtain better accomodations... >.<

"Canis et Equus" is latin for "Dog and Pony (horse actually)" is very fitting!
