The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Good point. Anyone else think the same way?

As far as I'm concerned, this qualifies as a combat drop.

Halloween ribbon is a go, I will update ASAP.

A proposed change:

6-9 drops, Bronze star.
10-14 drops, Silver star.
15 drops or more, Gold star.

This would immediately affect Derek Smith (Atlanta, 13 drops) and Tony Leach (Dallas, 6 drops). This change will also avoid having to buy several numerals.

Any objections?

Here's a thought... it would take some reworking of some people's stuff. But how about a specific badge just for DragonCon drops, to differentiate it from other Atlanta area drops? I don't mean for there to be a lot of changing and work to be done, but just pondering that today.

Marines, I introduce to you:

The Samhain 1031 Prison Colony Incident Decoration
"For participating in the cessation of the Samhain (Halloween) 1031 prison riots."
Image

Kevin, Derek, Tony & Scott: your ribbons have been updated. Samhain 1031 ribbon added; Derek now has a silver star for 10-14 drops on Atlanta and Tony has a bronze star for 6-9 drops on Dallas.

Derek, I'd like to order some stuff from paradestore.com and send it to you, I'll also order for your updates... 1 silver star, one orange/black and a new rack for you.

Actually, I might as well request it while I'm at it. Samhain 1031 veteran, I am!

Awwww... thanks Dom! I'd like to take this opportunity to say a few words, namely that -

...wait a second.

Oh.

That OTHER Derek, you meant.

Bastards.

I have two ribbon bars for sale, one is for 8 ribbon slides, one is for 9 ribbons slides. $3 each, local pick-up at DCon. Sound off if you need one.

That makes sense, in Baltimore we have 3 cons at the same place, so I think one ribbon is fine. Only problem is my lazy ass has to keep track now instead of Dom

Oh, I have a crapload of ribbon racks left over from when I was supply officer in ROTC. I'll try to take inventory if I can find them. They might be a bit too big though. (I had 20 ribbons at the end of my ROTC career.)

Ideally, I still have some 3-10ish somewhere.

Most likely not until mid-2009, but I can always buy another one direct from the company when needed. :)
