Hey guys!

Being a newbie in the world of Aliens props, I was wondering if anyone of you could educate me in regards to the Pulse Rifle?
Is there a site that explains this fully?

I've heard that there are resin kits that could be bought in converting a Marui Thompson and there are completed kits as well. Is there any other options?...plastic kits perhaps?

I'm considering 2 options:
1) I do have a Tokyo Marui Thompson, but since I also collect some 1:1 WWII stuff.....I'm a bit weary using it for a conversion.

2) Building a static PR from scratch. I've built some SW blasters in the past based on 1/6 scale replicas. I could scratchbuilt it in card & have it molded in fiberglass.
If this would be a viable option, could you guys recommend a good/best 1/6 scale PR that I could replicate?
Are there any technical drawings with actual measurements that could help me in scratchbuilding if ever?

Any advice, ideas & recomendations is appreciated!:)

Derrick's site has good info. on how to build one based on SD Studios' PR

Here is the blue print that I am using. I had to have my architect put it on his cad to get the right scale.

However, I have the same question. I can make almost anything from scratch with enough time. Or I could drop 2 large and buy one. What are the other options. I also have a M1A1 but am reluctant to convert it. Is there a resin kit website?

MAA - very impressive sir! Pricey, but impressive nonetheless!
Frankly, I couldnt afford even the $500+ option.:(

I guess scratchbuilding will be my only chance of having a PR.

Joeranger - thanks for the plans, man! They will be very helpfull in building my PR! :D

You could swap out one of your tigers for an AS PR for sure. Cheers & good luck. Let us know once you've started; there are plenty of resident PR experts here who could help out. ;)

Here's a thought:

Since I have the Marui Thompson, why dont I have that molded in fiberglass and I think I could find a "bootleg" 1:1 plastic shotgun that I could canibalize. All the rest ofcourse will be scratchbuilt.

Better than nothing, I suppose:P

Pretty much the way I'm doing it. I could buy the AS version, but felt I should try to make my own. This way -- it's a new thing for our field of PRs too.

I never quite figured it out here; were these behind-the-scene step-by-step of the SD studio batches of PRs or ??

BTW- isnt anyone offering any PR parts like shrouds, working counter, etc.?
With all the interest in having this rifle, it would be nice to see someone offering 'kits' or pieces to help those scratchbuilding a PR.

I'm still deliberating if I'm going ahead & having my Marui Thompson molded in fiberglass....however, I'm also in a lookout for a 2nd hand Thompson just to convert into a PR.
Shooting BBs is definitely a cool added factor!

You can get a custom designed working PR shot counter with sound/light effects from...

I own one of his earlier versions and I'm VERY pleased with it.

As far as just the shroud... well, nobody is producing one as of yet, outside of the full Pulse rifle kits available in Hong Kong.
