The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Can this PDF be shared on social media (with a link back here) or is it just for these forums?

Great compilation! But was it a deliberate decision to not reference SD-studios as a source for metal parts like grenades?

Wow! A lot of time and energy was clearly been spent here but great work and well worth it.

Speaking as someone who is still finding their feet with their kit and costume, this guide is fantastic. Thanks

Glad everyone is liking it and it was (and is) a fun project. If people think of other things that are missing or could make it better, please do chime in. This is just the first draft and as Mantroon said it was done fairly quickly so I'm sure there are things we either missed or could give more attention to.

FANTASTIC work guys!! I know one of the things that I've noticed since I started into this hobby two or so years ago of seriously putting together my own USCM kit, is that a number of the great reference websites that were around at that time are now gone, and you have thankfully preserved that info. I remember one of the sites is where I originally found the info for Spat's armor, the use of Polish Desert BDUs as an alternative, and even the original patch placement info is now gone. So again, many thanks for this guide - I haven't read through it completely but everything I've seen so far is awesome!!

Very nice of you! It will be of great help for any new comers, I'm sure of it :) I did find interesting info in there and might actually start my build!

Been reading the guide and it is great. Wondering about the steel pot M1 helmets. I see the link for the replica helmets but am wondering if the steel pot is used for all the characters? I am planning on working on a Hudson costume and it looks like he had just the liner not the steel pot. Granted his helmet has a cover so it would need to be both parts but am I missing something? Flip side is I am not looking forward to cutting and drilling the steel.
