The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Gaps can be seen here:

But maybe not quite so large, as the central spindle blocks most of it. :)

CMA needs quotes though.

I was only obeying orders, as "HEAVY WEAPONS" had quotes on the original design.

Where does the CMA and SAS go?

SAS you already have put on "Special Armaments Section".

The "CMA" I`d say put under the skull in that open section (under skull, helmet lobsters & Minigun BODY).

Martin, I added the minigun barrels as I wanted to incorporate one of Si`s BIG Guns to the patch.
That his Minigun tends to goto most shows, seems fitting to me.

Jason

I thought it was a going to be a Freebooters patch not a Si/SAS patch.

Seriously though, I understand the reason just think it doesn't look quite right unless it does have some muzzle flashes/flames coming out to clarify.

Steve can I suggest you remove some of the back teeth and move the eye socket to the right a bit on the Skull.
Really don't want to sound too critical (the art teacher in me coming out  ) but at the mo it looks a bit 'cheap clip-art' than a detailed patch. :?
SAS would look loads better in capitals too.

Anyone got any pics of the other UKCM unit patches as a comparison?

I actually painted over the top of a real human skull image, so the eye socket is in the correct place, along with the number of teeth.

As it is now, basically finished:

If anyone wants to amend/adapt/paint over mine, be my guest. :)

Its my Regt. so I have what I want trooper!! :)

I like the skull shape and details though i did have a go at removing a couple of teeth from each set.
No flames are required.

Steve, SAS part might look better in caps, could u try it for me please?

Fraz's one is for comparrison, i dont have the homer one on file tho it appears as Bazfish's avatar.

To maintain continuity, I think the thick white/blue outer rings with writing format of the other two patches needs incorporating. Maybe a slightly darker yellow background too.

Have you got the USCM style font to use for all the script Steve?

Thanks for all your work too Steve.

Yup, got the USCM font, so will redo with new text.

SAS and CMA on a white ring, with the UKCM regt text on a blue one. :)

Steve Excellent work mate thus far.

Glad to see we will have a Unit patch to outside the rest of the UKCM :p

Just one question,we having the "UKCM,REGT,BATT" as it`s looking at the moment or do it how I initially drew it with "Regt,UKCM,Batt".

It`s just first view is skull & text being "UKCM" at top & "Freebooters" at bottom. That I kina liked for impact on immediate recognition.

Though Si you have final say & again Steve, thank`s :D

I was keeping the format on the outer ring as with Hadrian and Homer Jase, for sake of uniformity.

If you want a slightly more detailed skull for the middle maybe you could use this if you want.

Sorry steve, still don't think the skull looks right (better with less teeth Si), and IMHO still looks like cheap clipart. :?

Steve,

Very nice indeed mate. Certainly puts this patch in the same league as the other UKCM Regt patches.

Just out of curiousity I`d like to see the patch with Martin`s skull.

I`ve been saving all the alterations you did Steve as well as the one from Mnobles.

Again as Si`s said Thank`s very much Steve.

Steve they are both smashing mate.

For a patch I can see the first one being the easier to have done.

Though the 2nd looks sharp too.

Well done mate on fleshing out via photoshop my pencil plan :D

Mucho Appreciated.

Si,we getting this done as a patch,Baz the man to see on that?
