The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Actually, being the Virgo that I am, I'm still not 100% happy with the lettering. It just doesn't look like it's following a circle, even though it was, I think PSP maybe doesn't handle 'non-official' fonts very well. :?

CMA is fine, but d'you think the other lettering wants to be slightly bigger (taller?)

Which ones?

I tried to keep to the layout of the other patches, as I didn't want the text top and bottom getting too close to each other, but can certainly make them larger.

All of em really, its just so that when its patched ate the proper size the script is still legible.
Might not be necessary but its just a thought.

Resized down to about patch size, with a bit of pixellation to 'rough it up' a bit, to show what it might look like as a patch:

Liking that, what do the other Freebooters think, should we go with this?

Well I`m biased seeing as I designed it ;) Steve`s done an excellent job with the puter art to it.

Part of me does (if I`m honest) pref the skull Martin did.

I say GO for it as it stands :D

Well first off I think Steves done a cracking job on this and appreciate the hard work put in, but you know what I honestly think of the skull image, so sorry I'm a no go on it.

Can I give one last thought on this, do you think it may look a little clearer if 2 fonts are used in counterpoint in the design.
(See quick knock up below using the USCM and Nostromo Pump fonts as an example)

How big will the edging be and what colour? Have to be carefull it doesn't overlap the lettering.

I presume these will be of the printed variety (as UKCM patches), not embroidered?
Detail shouldn't be a problem at all for the printed and even embroidered can be really detailed these days.
