The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Right.

Considering the numbers of people and luggage coming down from Scotland. We need to start organising transport. Sandy was a bus driver so we can get minibuses if that's what we need.

Any group transport costs would be spilt evenly between everyone who confirms they are going, not who actually goes. Although the more the cheaper.

So far, the names we have confirmed are..

Fraz.
Gareth.
Sandy.
Bri.
Scapey.
Kat.
Sixty

We'll probably be coming down the West coast, so if you're on our route and you want to cadge a lift.. Leave a message here.

I'm all in. I'll meet you at a convenient point where your intended path and Scotrail's somewhat chaotic rail transport network converge... :p

Just need to find a way to transport my kit that isn't the huge box Spat sent my armour in!

Gareth, that would rock my socks; many beers will be yours etc.

I'll bring some colonists as a snack / treat for Abe.

That and petrol money! :p

Right...

I've been investigating methods of transportation.
General concensus among Fraz, G, Scapey and I is that if we can get a minibus for a cheap enough rate.. we'll consider it.

So far I have found one which will come to around £50 a head all in for hire and fuel. (I am looking for cheaper)

Why a minibus? LOADS of luggage space and relative comfort too. Its no fun being cooped up in a car rammed full of gear. Plus.. we could operate a shuttle service between the NSC and the hotel.

If the majority say AYE to the minibus Idea, I'll be looking for cash in advance so that if anyone cancels at the last minute it doesn't put the rest of us in a pickle.
The person who cancelled would get their cash back of course, just not on the spot.

That sounds like a good idea Sandy! Defo count me in on this! £50 sounds OK too! If you CAN get it cheaper - then wahey!! :D

Would be great having space for storage too! Abe and Dave take up alot of room! So I'm 100% up for that!!

Bri :D

It was bulkiness of Abe and Dave that led me to suggesting a Van or Minibus.

If I can't get a cheaper minibus and £50 is too high for the others (it goes down the more people we have) Then I propose a Plan B:

1 Transit van (I KNOW I can get one for £120) For all the luggage and up to 3 folks (inc driver). + A Car to carry the rest of the troop.

Hey Guys,
Well as you know I`m in Middlesbrough,Teeside.

Padsbrat suggested popping onto this thread. Cheer`s mate :D

As much as I`d appreciate the lift, that`s a fair way off the more direct route you guys will be taking isn`t it?

As I don`t drive,I`ve no idea on Motorways etc. So if it`s do-able Hell yea, though realistically I think it is a fair bit out of the way.

Anyway LMK guys :D

Allow me and the team a chance to discuss this. We'll get back to you.

Out of interest... can you find your way to a service station on the A1/M1 ?
