So further build has stalled. There is a company that does reasonably priced SPH-4s, but they won't sell to anyone outside the states, and the ones that pop up in the UK are usually too expensive for me to go to town on them with a Dremel. Well mostly a Dremel. Compatible. So that's left me looking at these, I'm thinking with the ear widgets and right dress pieces it would pass once repainted. However it'd be a fairly major compromise. Hivemind what do you think? Edited, because I left my brain in bed this morning.

You could cover up a lot to make it look closer to the SH4 version. The SH are normaly around 200 Euro btw. |

Bikes only get expensive if you fly them like Dropships... Speaking of which; how wrong would it be to dye Pringle orange? On a scale from zero to firing 10mm AP rounds in a nuclear reactor... |

You can al always say that after seeing your flight records You have been allowed to to nearly anything. |

The visor cover comes off really easy for painting which is always a bonus. Attachment:

So update. I've moved the project a long with a low rent helmet build. No ear widgets as yet, but I'm working on it. I de-stickered the helmet, rubbed it back and resprated. The paint is War Paints Sherman Green which is a clear mile from Brown Bess, but keeps me happy. I did buy a mic boom from some guy in California, but the nut is from an old 'bikes clutch cable.

Great! That;s an useful discussion and I would like to know more about USCM flight school. I am quite interested in the topic and also gone through the basic training in the field from EduHelpHub and thereby looking for further advance knowledge in similar field. |
