The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello guys my name is Frank and from hungerford in berkshire i`m 42 years old. And Loved the aliens film, watching it i always wanted a Pulse Rifle. But never had any idea that i could own one. Then just before xmas we was out on our works xmas party. And we went to a hotel that had other party's on too. And one group was all in fancy dress. Nothing great from what i remember, Santa, elf, zombi, ghostbuster without a proton pack and some other things..... And then WOW i thought i was dreaming. I spotted a marine with a pulse rifle And the rest of the costume. I had a few more beers and went to talk to the guy. And i asked him if i could hold the pulse rifle and he refused me outright but let me touch it. I had photos taken and got talking, He said that the armour was real metal and made by the man that made them for the film and told me everything i needed to know including info on the pulse rifle. That`s why i`m here now after a bit of searching.... I was in love with this guy (beer goggles on) and i had loads more photos taken over the night. And party`s ended and by this time i was proper proper drunk. I woke up next morning still at the hotel in my room with proper hangover and without my phone, that i later found in the toilet swimming. So all my photos where gone. I have no idea who this guy was but think his name was Harry and his surname made me laugh but i cant remember why. But i think it was written on his chest plate. And i remember a blue wolf on the rear of his armour. but have no photos to jog my memory.

So guys thanks to this marine i`m now on the forum, and hope to get so see the marine that stated me wanting the full costume not just a pulse rifle.

Frank

Welcome aboard Frank.

It wasn't Gary Pusey was it?? (easy to confuse with Harry, especially when ratted). He's got a FOX motocross logo on the rear of one of his shoulder epaulettes.

The armour in question would have been made by Terry English and is indeed the guy that made them for the film. He lives down near me.
They don't come cheap, but are amazing.

There's plenty of info on these boards of where to get kit from so just have a nose about and ask plenty of questions.

Pulse Rifles are available. You can get the airsoft version, but you may need to jump a few hoops for that due to current legislation governing Replica Firearms
You may run into the same issue with a resin version, but nothing is insurmountable.

Hello frank thanks for the P.M and welcome to the mad house. You piss head. I'm glad you like my surname and glad my parents did not call me Harry. As now I too find hairy pussy funny. Yes I was the marine that you stalked all night at the hotel. Hungerford is just down the road from me as I'm in Newbury. I will ask at work to see if anyone took any photos of us together.
