The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I tried to reposition the IR Sight but with no luck. I have decided to live with it (so one bit of my kit will not be screen accurate)

Can you chop out more of the helmet liner above where it sits to allow it to go further up?

Yes I have tried that, but the headband pushes forward so the lens does not drop down.

And to be honest I do not mind, has it shows off Chef's handiwork.

I finally started strapping up the armour on the weekend. Nearly complete but I ran out of 25mm straps. Some more on order!

One question thou; using the Rivets that came with Chelf’s build. I found that the inside part of the rivet are not very flush. And when I tested wore the armour, they stuck into me.

Is this the norm and I just need to pad them out? Or have I done something wrong (sorry no photos)?

Use shorter ones. Or cut the excess of after fitting and file them smooth.

I tried dremelling the rivets last night.

This turned out not to be such a good idea! The rivet heated up and started to melting the plastic.

So Plan B (pad the rivets);

Cut out small square pieces of foam rubber pads (I think from an old mouse mat)
Punch a hole in the middle of the pad, using a leather hole punch,
Place it on top/over of the rivet
Apply hot glued through the hole
Cover with gaffer tape

If you get these style end cutters...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180mm-7-Inch- ... 2a4ab52c0c

You can snick the ends of the rivets right down to the washer.

You can then de-burr the sharp bits with either a file or a sanding wheel on your Dremel. You won't be on the part long enough to heat it up so much that it'll melt the plastic.

I don't know, it's a standard Chef's built.

I bought the clippers yesterday and started clipping the ends off last night. So far so good. I have not started the Dremel part yet.

I think it's because more of robs sight drops down than mine. And you can see the casing it sides into where on mine you cannot.

Hi

Yesterday was my first time wearing my Armour and Airsofting at the same time. I lasted one game!!!

The problems I found;

Armour
The left leg armour kept slipping down and the knee pad kept rubbing on my knee.
Some of the rivets stuck into me (this is an easy fix).

Pulse Rife
The Pulse Rife is not very suitable to my type of game play (fast and smooth reloading).

So I have decided to make it a Cosplay weapon only. Removing the Airsoft parts (where applicable) and fitting a LED in barrel.

This will mean a bit more research and rework on the PR.

This also means I have at least 11 Nobles Magazine end caps for sale and not to mention the same amount of Hi-caps (210 rds) (Please watch the PX section).
