First pics of the first attempt at modifying my shoulder pads. It's all just loose-fitted for now to make sure it doesn't upset the balance of the pads. I removed the outer shell of the pads as they stuck up too much for this use. The grey box will form the base of the over-the-shoulder light. If I can find a suitable belt, I might add another lead from the black box at the front to something attached to the belt.

I was intending to paint the pads in camo colours of green & brown, and the equipment matt black. Any thoughts ladies & gents?
