The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi, would you be interested in another person joining your group? I have an ex-NATO army helmet of 1986 vintage I bought a few years ago and I've still got my old American Football shoulder pads, which could both be fairly easily modified. I don't have the money to go about purchasing replica weapons, but I could make something out of wood which should look reasonably realistic.

Absolutely! We accept all costumes, and people without costumes!

We especially like expanded universe stuff and unique armour/weapons. So don't be restricted to trying to make something that looks like movie armour/weapons.

Second what G/A wrote.

Looking at your models I have no doubt you could make a great armour out of it.
Again welcome and good luck with your builds.

That's very kind gents. I'd rather be one of you than... 'one of them'... if you remember that expression :-) I'll see what needs doing to my helmet & pads over the winter. Is there any recommended colour to paint the pads? A shade of military green I'd guess?

Thanks for the links Kev, it's always good to know the ground rules and I've sent the census email.

Thanks Mr ops. I've requested a service number, but I'll leave the other two until I've sorted my uniform and attended events fully kitted.

I've been looking through my boxes of old electrical parts I've collected over the years to see if there was anything I could add to my shoulder pads to represent the sort of equipment a Comtech like Hudson would have carried. As my work background is from the industrial electrical trade, I sort of fancy myself as a Comtech if that would be allowed.

I found some old scrap audio equipment parts and two ancient circuit boards which once screwed to the box they are sat on, will hopefully form the base of an over-the-shoulder light when fastened to the back of the pads. I also found an old digital watch-like device which could represent the locator Hicks gave to Ripley, so you can now find me anywhere in the complex :-)

When I sent the service number request email, I chose the call-sign Six foot; the reasons for which should be obvious to those who saw me at the NSC last weekend :-)

It sure is allowed, in fact no need to ask. Hudson as Engineer had a bypass/hack kit. Here is the link to one of the build topics: http://forum.alienslegacy.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12796. Feel free to build it or anything else you thing that fits your character.

BTW: You can add your call sign here (Open "title" requests thread...): http://forum.alienslegacy.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2206

>Hicks gave to Ripley, so you can now find me anywhere in the complex :)
We can check this with locator tubes at the next drop. :)

HAHAHAHA ! It's not me you should be worried about then ;-)
Matt - I'm telling Neil you said that :-p

And yes, I am Little1, the early warning system, you will hear me before you see me (mostly because people forget to look down when I'm in the area and they miss me)! (Yup, I am that short, but dammit I am NOT a midget !)

You will know when you have met me - which right now, my life is a bit hectic and I'm not sure when I will be out an about again ! But please, enjoy yourself with this group ... I love them almost as much as I love my own family :-)
