The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi,

I'm not going screen accurate, It's more what I like the look of myself.

I am about to make the ab padding, not sure on colour though.

I really like the leather neck trim, bit of a WW2/Korean Marine vibe to it. Paint job is great too.
I believe the ab-pads in the films were a slightly bluey-dark grey but as Kris said its personal preference :)

Oh and welcome!

Welcome Aboard Dan.
Great armour!

As you are not going for SA it doesn’t matter if your Ab pad is grey, black or any other colour/Pattern.

You know, to me the brown leather almost looks more 'grizzled'. Like the newer versions came out, but your too set in your ways and you keep using your older gear, yet no one says anything to you about it because they are all afraid of you and know you earned the right to wear whatever the heck you want. And all the young guys are all sitting around telling the new guys "Don't f*** around with the gunny over there. That guy is old school".

Lot of character in that brown leather. At least that's what it says to me!

Looks great though. Paint job is VERY nice as well.

Thanks for the welcomes and kind words guys.

I will probably just go with black for the ab padding, unless I find something to complement the brown.

I post how I get on with it :)
