The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

As the post suggests we are looking for some big guitar amps to use at the NSC event.

Has anyone got any they could bring along or lend that we could use ?

Several units would be extremely useful

Any help greatly appreciated

I may be able to bring something but I'll have to check.

It won't be "BIG" like a Marshall stack big though, but I think we have a bass combo at work that I might be able to borrow.

might sound like a dumb idea but in a worse case scenario how about a home sound system like I use at Geek Night?

Cheap 20-40w combo amps at the right height are really fucking loud, would be allot easier to source than some 300w stack.
Put them at head height, find the "pocket" and your on to a winner :)

Thanks for the offer :)
We really need to find ones for the while weekend though, otherwise things could get confusing.

Still on the lookout for ANYTHING 30watt +. Amps, Pa systems, amp head and speaker.... Getting desperate now

Yeah, but I've already used up the entire budget of the event by buying a pack of 4 AA batteries and two packs of chewing gum. ;)

Either would be fine. We'd need to be gentle with the smaller one.

Don't get bogged down by the wattage, 30-40w won't sounds much louder (or better) than 10-15w. The speaker, not the amp makes all the difference.

Oh, we're not too bothered about how it sounds, just how loud it can play the worlds worst PR sound without all the magic smoke escaping...
