Seeing as the Marine is a bit of a strung out process with a few sticking points that I'm working my way around, I thought I'd do a Xeno too. Mainly because we can't have James having all the fun now can we! So the kit has arrived. Plenty of rubbery goodness to work through. I've got a 1mm Neoprene Skin suit coming (like a wetsuit, but much much thinner) for my under suit and I'm now just scratching my head about the animatronics. First bit started... Jaw hinge going in place. ![]() ![]() No doubt I'll be pulling the teeth out and replacing them with some better ones. Few days later. Well... As I said above. I'm not happy with the teeth. So today in a rare afternoon where I got to do some stuff for myself, I made some new ones. ![]() They are cold cast Aluminium so eventually they'll be polished up to a shine. I've got to set them into a gum yet before sticking them back in the jaw. Also started on the workings, so put in the servos for the lower lip, the actuator wires will fund through tubes set into the lower jaw, and I've put the jaw opening servos in their frame. ![]() ![]() I've also managed to trim and glue the tail together and inserted the alcathene tube for a similar mounting system to Prophet's. The back and horns are all glued in place, but I need to latex the joins and probably make up some details to hide them. Hands are trimmed. Need to get some gloves. I've also taken delivery of a few surprise parts, but I'm keeping them under my hat for now. an another day. I'll set them before installing the horns. (they're not glued... I like stuff to come back out if possible!) Teeth after a bit of a polishing session. ![]() Teeth have now been set in a jaw, remoulded and cast as a complete drop in set of gnashers. ![]() ![]() Upper jaw being done at the moment. |

Some more... Whilst James was bored, he mucked about with some servos for the lips and inner jaw. *** I would try and embed the Youtube videos. but can't work it out on this forum!! *** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU3z8Z1 ... e=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-M2YG3 ... e=youtu.be I need to get a stronger servo for the main jaw, as it's not happy. But that isn't a drama at this stage. |

Bit more done today. Head placement test. ![]() ![]() And the inaugural test fitting of the suit. It's minus the tail and the lower jaw, and ignore the joins of the wrists and feet as I've not painted/blended them in yet, and the spewing of wires! Suit painted and highlighted. It's a bit more 'oily' coloured in the flesh than the pictures show. ![]() ![]() ![]() And a little video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sei7U_2 ... e=youtu.be |

This is a very flexible suit. It would be great to see you "ambush" at that speed. Looks great. ![]() |

omg. if you can get the jaws to move, maybe a sound bite of the zeno hissing and jeese even a bit of mouth gunk like a hiss snort via like a small water gun then chef you have reached nirvana . that ambush idea is awesome and with the suit on your so fast.the perfect species is so well represented in the ukcm's. i'll stick to my 1/6 scale.....your full size is scary as hell.....awesome. |

Well.... It's all done short of some internal modifications for the animatronics, and maybe some small detail work. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can't think of a superlative to describe that adequately. So good it's untrue. Also- I'm massively jealous of your skills! ![]() |
