The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The CM cossie was put on hold for a while. My wife is due any time now , so my mind (and body) is someplace else than build :).
I hope to start working on in later months.

Just a question.
Is Pulse Rifle full resin replica acceptable? Or does it have to have working counter?

Cheers

Woah. I missed this thread! Sorry.

Welcome!

As for what's acceptable... nakedness is discouraged when in public view. But beyond that we have no costume rules. And, no costume is just fine too. The only requirement is that any airsoft or similar PR is safe, without ammo or battery/gas. So yes, a resin PR is just fine.

I live in Acton. Are you heading to LFCC this weekend?

unfortunately im not going to LFCC. I'm doing MCM EXPO but with UK Garrison as Stormtrooper.
My costume build was halt to a stop by arrival of our little daughter. I hope to get it started at least a bit.

Finally had a chance to start the build so i worked on the helmet first. This is progress so far.

i've used poppers to attach ear piece as the strap goes from the liner and i though it will be useful to be able to remove the liner if i need to.
I've used Vietnam war era liner, so the straps are little bit different, will it affect clearance or its ok?

Next i will be working on lobster plate. Update to follow.

Thanks .

Pete

There is no costume clearance on here. :)

The only rules/guidelines in the UKCM are here:

No idea about the strap position, other than if you like it, that's fine. :)

Armour is still sitting in the box and when i finally move the house i will try to sit on it straight away.
