The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Guys

Being star wars costumer for few years now, i've decided to pick first non-sw cossie to make. Aliens' Colonial Marines always had this awesomeness about them, and seeing many of those costumes around, decided to go for it.

It will be a slow build, but i hope i can make it work.

I have an armour kit + helmet, 2 pouches, Ab pad on order from Chef. Also ordered patches, tshirt to go under BDU. I have my belt from WW2 reenactment and m1 ww2 liner for the helmet.

Pics to follow once stuff arrive.

(i don't have yet access to Sale section so if someone will see Pulse riffles- pref Snow Wolf , please let me know)

More updates soon
Cheers guys
Pete

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the forum.
Good luck with your Colonial Marine build. Just shout if you need help.

Are you joining us at London Film and Comic Con?
No worries you don’t need to come in full gear.

P.S.: Currently no Pulse Rifle on sale. Upcoming a NERF Pulse rifle kit, but by then you should have
posted enough to have access to the Base PX section.

Hey Pete.

We'll have a table at LFCC so hopefully we'll be quite easy to find. I'll see if I can round up an Alien or two. ;)

Looking forward to meeting up. And don't be shy - we mostly only go to the trouble of getting a table so we have a place and an excuse to chat with people!

Could anyone tell me what's the size of the US Flag that comes on BDU??
Is there any place you guys normally order from , or any US Flag is ok as long as its the right size and white border?

Im about to order my name tapes from Camotech and wondered if i can ask them to make the white border flag to make up for order minimum (their orders has to be min $10 while name tapes cost only $5)

Thanks in advance

We mostly have UK patches... and we do irregular runs of patches. Bazfish may have some UK ones in stock.

But, Matt Noble did the following diagram showing patch dimensions: viewtopic.php?p=208926#p208926

Cheers buddy.

As i'm already a member of 501st and UKG, i will aim to do US version of Colonial Marines. Unless i will get the second BDU (which atm i have none) with UKCM setup.

Glad to be here!

Been scratching my head over the CM cossie for a while now. I'm glad it finally start to show some progress!

It will be my first non Star Wars costume
(X-wing pilot, Rebel Fleet Trooper, Stormtrooper)

UPDATE:

I've got my set of patches
Image

I know that Delta patch should have black overlock, luckily i will be a PVT so no need for that on the uniform.

I've got some lovely box on the way from Chef , so i will post the pics as soon as it arrive.

Can't wait to be back from holidays (really?? :P) to start trim and build this awesome armour.

Pete

I wouldn't stress too much over the details, we're pretty easy on stuff like that. :)
