Edit: The official / preferred / recommended / most common flavour stripes for the UKCM Service C uniform is : Enlisted Class A Stripes (Male Size) - Gold on Green I've seen and number of different formats for the type of rank in insignia on Service C's within the UKCM which is mostly used? What do you have ? (UKCM members only please) |

I voted other because I have modified USMC Female rank on my shirt. I have USCM patches as well. ![]() The general consensus is khaki patches. The gold ones are fine for BDU/flight suit but they look weird on the Service C's IMHO. |

Actually, why don't we use British Army rank patches? I like the little crowns. |

Well I'm just going to go with the flow. I know 'regulations' don't really sit well with us but if people would like to pick a 'preferred' option now would seam a good time. (before I buy mine ![]() But with everything UKCM each to his / her / their own ! |

I have the neck pins as that is what female officers ususally wear. Personally, I am flexible, but that is what we determined last year with the short sleeved shirt. |

Okay I've thought about this a little and didn't realise we had so many different options going on. (four options in just four posts ![]() Can i make the following proposal. There are a huge number of UKCM going to DCon and they are all wearing service C's. When you're all there how about a little discussion to see what looks / feels best between you and maybe get some sort of general opinion ? Obviously nothing is mandatory or binding. (Freedom through individuality) ![]() K ![]() |

I agree with Rich. Khaki stripes are 'correct' for enlisted ranks with our stylised version of the Service C's. Officers should wear rank pins on their shoulders as per the presidence set by Gorman in the film, though it makes more sense for females to wear rank on their collar being as their shirts are more fitted across the shoulders so pins dig in, and without the converted mandarin collar we have more space for pins. These are of course just my opinions. YMMV. |

What are the pins made from and what colour are they? |

Gorman's pins were black (subdued). Guess they're made from metal of some sort. Easy enough to find on eBay. |

Yes that i know i was referring to NCO's not officers |

NCOs wear the same as enlisted. Anyone from CPL onwards is an NCO. Staff Sergeant and above are Senior NCOs. Warrant Officers are neither NCOs or Commissioned Officers and have their own rank pins. |

Doh i meant what would the colour of NCO,s wear im more than aware of the rank structue, i just cant see NCO,s pins being black like the officers and im talking the female uniform |

Lol! My brain isn't completely with it tonight. They should be green embroidery on a khaki background. NCOs wouldn't be wearing rank pins. They'd have patches on their sleeves. |

all non commissioned rank pins are black, officers pins are silver or gold. so if you want pins on a womans uniform, go for black |

The film quite clearly shows Gorman wearing subdued rank so it would make sense that all Officers would wear them. I'm not wearing rank pins since I'm not an officer. |
