The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

hi guys just a thought and was wondering how you felt about this. Afew years back i had a house fire (hot stuff) and to cut a long story short my reasonably screen accurate but rather piss poor attempts at colonial marine armour got scorched. Now after considerable time away ive decided to get back into the game and through the kindness of strangers im hoping this will not be long in the making. However some of my original armour remains and i'm thinking an urban camouflage marine would be cool.Ive never been one for that badge needs to go there or else its not right sort of chap.....i just want to have a bit of fun. Or maybe an arctic marine all in white after all the marines can land anywhere so it would be silly to think their armour is all one camo and nothing else.
How do the purists think about this?

Absolutely! There is loads of examples of interesting camo in the Colonial Marines Technical Manual of course.

AL (and the UKCM specifically) is very open to EU stuff.

I'd like it a bit darker (tone each colour down a shade and sub the white for grey), but that is COOL. Like that.

Humm, do I need a second set of Chef armour for urban airsoft.....! Ha

As everyone has already said it's your armour so do what you feel is best. I quite like the sound of Arctic Armour although I think, if I was doing it, instead of plain solid white I'd go for several very light/pale colours in a camo pattern like White, Cream, Pale Blue and Pale Grey.

The only downside I can see to an Arctic Loadout would be that for it to make sense you would need to wear Arctic-appropriate clothing including gloves, scarf etc which might make it anywhere from uncomfortable to positively untenable in a lot of stuffy locations for drops/troops! :(

thanks guys...food for thought.ok prophet sold me his armour so ive finally had a chance to wear it. He had made a few adjustments for comfort which worked very well. After running around with it on and generally bending and looking like a loon ive added to this as well . its now super super comfy although the armour on the neck piece needs some padding...not for comfort purposes but it just makes such a plastic on plastic rubbing noise...i hate that...lol

as a homage to prophet im going to keep the name on the frount of the armour but customise it by squiggling 'of pain' or 'of doom' through it in red.my name will replace whats on the back of the helmet.this i'll do after i respray it if i choose to go ahead and do an urban job.the armour now looks worn and quite super now really so who knows.

my bdus are not screen accurate lol but im waiting for a new set when the ukcm badges get done again so these ones will do untill then.

one things for sure a large ukcm delta will happen at some point on the frount of my armour.i MUST represent.

i was thinking black matt with a sort of speckled faded grey to break it up and to look less like a starwars reject lol.hell i really want to do a white set like i rocked on the game but im unsure.i'm getting much happiness with the way it is now after my recent slight tart up job.never ceases to amaze me how ahead of the times c.m. (aliens film) was when it came out.small squads of organised professionals with overwhelming fire power.personal communication devices.grunts being observed by their commanding officer on camera.special forces been ripping off cm for years.

it goes quarter of the way then strikes the beam that attaches the pump to the slide that reveals the shot gun shell.basically when you insert the battery it pushes the slide down.doesnt seem to be any room atall for a stick battery.

A quick and dirty method is some strategically placed key rings. Was supposed to be a temporary fix for me but I've been using them for a few months now and it's been perfect actually. Worth putting together a better solution long term though

turns out firesupport do the caps for the thompson mags so i will inquire. mate of mine put a dirty great ukcm delta on his armour like i was gonna do and its...shall we say very bright.on the game it rocks but on chefs armour i really dont think so.think i'm gonna enjoy my armour the way it is before i do anything radical.just making it mine will do at present.got an old lazer red dot...might use that and make my pulsy like the one in the game.
