Post subject:  UKCM Structure

The UKCM has never worked like other costuming groups. We don't do rotas, costume clearance or even spotters. We don't even require a costume. And UKCM "leadership" has been an exercise in extreme discretion and subtlety. And none of this is going to change. We are, and will remain, a social club that happens to also be a rather awesome costuming group at the same time.

That said, along with the ongoing census, we're going to get a touch more organised.

Any of the people listed below will be able to help you if you have any questions, problems or ideas about the UKCM (or anything else, I suppose). At your first drop, you should be assigned to a squad and possibly an additional affiliation such as Area 52. Squad COs will also be responsible for UKCM rank promotions.

UKCM COs and event coordinators: Steve "Scapey" Fletcher and Gareth "Pug50" Ellner

13TH REGT, 1ST BATT: FREEBOOTERS
CO: Lt. Simon "Sidewinder" Smith
XO: Sgt. Callum "Vito" Kee-McParlin
Carrier: HMS Valhalla

42ND REGT, 1ST BATT: HADRIAN’S WALL
CO: Cpl. Samantha "Boltrig" Watters
Carrier: USS Hadrian’s Wall

69TH REGT, 1ST BATT: HOMER’S HEROES
CO: MSgt. Rich "Skapunk" Hyatt-Dowling
XO: Sgt. Andy "Clanger68" Spencer
Carrier: HMS Nimbus

In addition to the main geographically-defined squads within the UKCM, there also exists a number of "Secondment squads" - Sub-groups that UKCM members can join alongside their main squad, that share a more specific focus on a given aspect of costuming.

501ST REGT, 1ST BATT: THE BUCKETHEADS
CO: Sgt. Dan Cooper
XO: Cpl. Adrian "Adie1979" Philpot
Carrier: USS Campbell

The Bucketheads , under Dan Cooper, firmly believe that - As Sgt Apone used to say - every formation IS a parade! Granted, the paycheques aren't as good as he made out, but you get the idea. Bucketheads will embrace early mornings, being in costume before event opening, occasional sobriety and general right-thinkery in the UKCM by applying the UKCM's minimal rules with zeal. Sgt Cooper assures us that he will run a tight ship, and will do his best to keep an eye upon any rumoured appearances by this squad's antithesis - The mythical "Black Ops" unit.

AIRBORNE DIVISION
CO: Cpl. Karyn "ClangerToo" Shields
XO: Cpl. Vicky "Mole" Chivers

Someone call for a taxi? The UKCM Airborne Division offers such services as assault transport, reconnaissance, close air support, search & rescue and casualty evacuation. Our party piece is to plunge into the ground, barrel roll and distribute flaming parts of dropship over an area the size of a medium sized town. Or as we like to call it, 'landing'. Now, everyone remember where we parked...

HEAVY WEAPONS DIVISION
CO: Sgt. Matt "CrashDown" Bradley
XO: Cpl. AJ "Gunner2163" Martin

The Heavy Weapons squad, led by Sgt Matt Bradley, focusses upon the support and artillery hardware in the Colonial Marines' armoury.
From Smartgun rigs to PIGS, RPGS to BFGs; marines who love the big guns and who absolutely positively want to kill not only every mofo in the room, but possibly destroy the room itself as well, can sign up here.

BIOWEAPONS DIVISION: AREA 52
CO: Gen. Gareth "Pug50" Ellner
XO: Sgt. Kris "nocternus" Kobus

Area 52 is the UKCM scientific and bioweapons division run by Gen Gareth Ellner and his half Human XO. Area 52′s reputation for scientific genius is only matched by the unhinged lust to create the ultimate bioweapon . To be quite honest we have no idea what goes on behind the reinforced doors of Area 52, but we also don’t want to know either. The only mostly human members of this regiment are Gen. Ellner, Sgt Kobus and the scientific staff - Dr. Hans Lubricant and Dr. Wolfgang Bigboy... They tend to the needs of and study all manner of Alien specimens and non-humans that have been created or captured including the now infamous Abe T. Alien who is rumoured to be somehow tele-pathetically connected to and controls Gen Ellner…but what we do know is this, the basis of this group can be summed up by their motto… “Your pain is our aim”!

FOREIGN LEGION: "DEVIANT DRAGOONS"
CO: MSgt. Paul "Mantroon" Maitland
WEST COAST XO: Rebecca "Carmilla" Majoros
EAST COAST XO: Cpl. Greg "Gman666" Newell.

As you may have read, the 2i/c of Homers Heroes is currently a stuffed cat!
I dont trust the little furball, and suspect he may be being manipulated by a certain Clanger... So for this reason I need to find a human counterpart.

Dutys involve running the squad when im away, helping to enforce my iron fist, waking me up when im hungover... etc :p

If anyone wants to be considered for the role, drop me a PM with an amusing joke and promises of a large Jack Daniels bribe, and we'll see what happens.

Given all possible interpretations of the term 'trump', particularly as slang, that could be a very unpleasant thing to do!!

A more suitable approach would be to hold contests, in each round of which opponents 'do the thing with the knife'. Whoever is left the least maimed at the end gets to decide everything!

The winner also has to serve cornbread to the rest of us.

Well yes, his pelt may be silky smooth, but its the teeth you need to worry about. And the tail!

He hears all of this, you know. Stores it and uses it to feed his hunger for.....the meat.

Yeah, but trumping anyone's beaver is still unpleasant and I don't neccesarily mean for the trumper, either ;)

"trumping someone's Beaver" is no necessarily the most distasteful arrangement of those three words! ;-)
