The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

We'll see.

Men generally complain of itching when growing a beard, but I've never had that problem. :)

Hehe Nice one Steve.

Yeah, keep applying that cream. Guaranteed no scabs, keep it clean, And yes, there will be itching when dry skin becomes clear.

Other than that. Welcome to the human journal club! :D

Doubt there'll be much scabbing, as there was barely any bleeding. Even Ross who did it was pleasantly surprised at the lack of blood. :)

Will keep applying the cream though. 8)

What cream you using?
I swear to god, Bepanthen nappy cream is part Aqua, part Magic pixie dust.

'Course, for some reason, across the pond, it's hard to get such stuff without alcohol in it.
As Callum found out :(

Got Sudacrem, recommended by a few people, and Bepanthen, recommended by Ross.

Started using Bepanthen, with Sudacrem as a backup if my very sensitive skin reacts to it. :)

Unless it has changed it's formula in the last few years, I was always told not to use sudacrem also.

Nice sharp and clean tat Steve. 8)

I myself am allergic to bepanthan so I just use normal moisturiser, but sudacrem is far to thick and it will also fade the tattoo

Looking good, Steve! I've always just used dye/perfume free lotion on mine, and they've healed lovely.

Will keep using the cream, but not sure I need it, as there's been no bleeding or scabbing. It still looks great, just like in the pic posted above. :)

Never hurts to keep your skin moisturized, though, right?

Yup, but it is a bit greasy/leaves residue, so I prefer to use Johnson's Baby Lotion or similar. :)

The tattoo area has started to peel, with tiny black bits coming off when I apply the Bepanthen. :)

It's such tiny flakes that look like bits of the transfer, so it's not like sunburn peel. :)

Think I've been lucky with the lack of bleeding/scabbing, or did everyone who's had it done have the same?
Ross who did it seemed pleasantly surprised about the lack of blood. :)

I had the black dust about 24 hours after it was done (the transfers we used were just outlines, so I don't think it was the transfer).

I had a single scab about 3mm in diameter and no itching at any point. I'm unsure if it was just lucky or if I don't scab/heal normally ...

Yes, usually it depends.

I don't know why it scabs. I've only scabbed twice. Maybe to how deep it went? I'm not too sure.

But no bleeding is good. I honestly sure that all is fine. Another week, you'll be good. :)

My tattooist told me to use Preparation H! Stinks like hell but it was healed in just over a week if I remember, and ten years on, still looks fresh as it did the day I got it

Scabbing depends on depth, placement, and simply how much of a bleeder you are!

Itching is more reliant on how hairy you were in the area of the tatt before it was shaved... The worst combo is "Very hairy" and "Prone to scabbing".
Hair growing through scabs is hellish annoying!

Can see tiny little pale hairs just starting to show in/around the area (which wasn't hairy), but no more peeling this afternoon and no itching. :)
