The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well at the moment I'm gonna keep all options open. I will look into seeing if someone will let me try Spat's armor so I can see just how much I'd have to take off. Will also look into how much it will cost me to pep/fibreglass it, and does anyone have a link for MAA as I tried looking it up on google and most of the links weren't working kept getting an "oops......blah blah" message

Your right Ttaskmaster, Vasquez is the best I love her and Drake, then somehow by the end I even slightly liked Gorman. But nah Vasquez all the way!!

"Hey Vasquez, you ever been mistake for a man?"
"No, have you?"

And that quote is the story of my life.

Well, a few of us are in Wrexham on Sunday. I'm sure someone there would give you a shot of some Spat armour. Will be a bit of trip though.

Wrexham might be an issue due to distance and the fact I'm already going to a con this weekend to help my friend on her dealers table so I'll be alittle preoccupied drooling at Paul Wesley.....I mean serving customers.

I will be at LFACC if anyones going there.

Also just realised Pug you're Abe. I've already met you in costume. I tend to take a wide berth cause even though I know Aliens don't exist you guys still scare the bajebus outta me. Especially when I was talking to one of the marines one time and one of the Alien's possibly you snuck up behind me and hissed in my ear. To be honest you're lucky I didn't knock you out I was that startled. I also nearly beat the crap out of some teenagers at Milton Keynes (when it was in the shopping centre) when they were messing with one of the aliens tails.

Should be a few of us at LFCC! viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9589

Good to know we've met - don't worry, I'm good at reading people. Besides, Abe's rubbery - the punches bounce off! ;)

Yes well I don't think I will be trying that out anytime soon it would probably cost too much to fix the damage. Yeah I've been looking at the LFACC list so will have a look out for people when I get there though Sunday would be a better day for me as I'm wearing too many layers for my cosplay on Sat

Well I'm one of the UKCM short arses at 5'6 and I find my armour fits ok. It's a bit bulky in some places but I don't have any major problems...

Isn't yours tailored by Terry English himself?

I wouldn't say it was tailored! He made it to the same spec as Bill Paxton apparently and it seems to do me fine!

That doesn't look like it fits you at all. You better send it to me for disposal. Yeah, that's it. ;)

Am 5'7 and I have spats armour, I suppose it's down to how the armours put together, I got mine from Marcel and he towers over me, but a few adjustments to the strapping and bingo, fits like glove.

You're not that short, I've seen people in Spat's armor that aren't more than 5'6" and they look fine. You can tweak the webbing a bit, and trim if needed.

Luckily I got to try a marines armour on, on Sunday at LFACC. He only had a 38-40" chest and first of all I admit I fangirled slightly *clears throat* but definitely didn't look like there would need to be too many changes. From what we could see the ab part needs to be shorted a little but only on the actual material part and I make my own costumes anyway so that shouldn't be an issue, need to take a bit off the sides and a few other things but on the whole it was pretty awesome. Now to start saving properly!!
